Most of the paddles that fail GNG are far beyond the bounds of ADF measures we have ever seen in UPA-A certification or professional on site testing. We anticipate these paddles have experienced significant beneficial break-in, often resulting in ADF below 20 lbs. The GnG machine is the last line of defense to keep these paddles out of recreational play and competition. We know that none of these paddles were subject to a lab-based ABI test. It’s unacceptable that legitimate paddle companies—with paddles that have passed a fair and replicable ABI test—are put at a systematic performance disadvantage.
